Founded in 1973, Haitian Student Unity is Northeastern University's second oldest Black organization.

For more than five decades, HSU has been a cultural home for Haitian and non-Haitian students alike, hosting events, fostering dialogue, and carrying forward a legacy of pride, resilience, and community.

Our mission is to empower and unite Northeastern students and the broader community in the celebration of Haitian culture, leadership development, and community engagement, bridging the campus and the world beyond it. We are guided by cultural pride, community, leadership, innovation, and accountability.

HSU is also a bridge-builder beyond Northeastern. As a founding node of the Massachusetts Haitian Student Union, HSU connects Haitian student communities across Massachusetts institutions, the City of Boston, and the broader Haitian diaspora.

Your gift supports HSU's cultural programming, leadership development for Haitian and Haitian-allied students, and the statewide work that brings those communities together.
