The Northeastern University Dance Team is the official Dance Team under Northeastern University Athletics and Club Sports. Founded in 2003, NUDT is a nationally ranked team of 20-25 dancers from all majors, class years, and dance backgrounds committed to the art of dance and promoting Husky Spirit. The team plays an integral role in the Northeastern community, performing at a variety of athletics events including Men's and Women's Basketball and their CAA tournaments. We also serve as Northeastern ambassadors at the annual Beanpot, Commencement, Convocation, Welcome Week and President Aoun's Holiday Event. The Northeastern University Dance Team competes annually on a national level as a Division 1 team at NDA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona, FL and consistently place top 5 in the nation in Team Performance. In 2025, the team placed 1st in the nation in Team Dance and Top 5 in Pom. Team styles include hip-hop, jazz, and pom, with a strong underpinning of technique in all routines. NUDT practices 3 to 4 days a week, with practices supplemented by strength and agility training, weekly lift, and monthly ballet lessons.
