The Center for Transformative Action, which is a part of Mills College at Northeastern University, cultivates transformative learning experiences that bridge academic knowledge with real-world community-engaged action. Building on our established programs Bridging the Gap, Voices of Change, and Sustainable Futures, we expand our impact through new programming to create coordinated pathways including co-ops, research, and enhanced sustainability education. We prepare students to become ethical leaders who apply equitable values, systems thinking, and futures thinking to advance justice and sustainability. We provide opportunities for students, faculty, and community and industry partners to co-create values-driven, hands-on solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges, carrying forward Mills College’s legacy of equity and innovation in experiential education.
