The Northeastern Climbing Team is the official competitive rock-climbing team sanctioned through Northeastern University Club Sports. Founded in 2014 and open to all undergraduate and graduate students, the team competes on the USA Climbing Collegiate circuit–with multiple athletes competing in Nationals each year. The team has won a New England Regional Championship as well as placed as high as second at the National Championships. Many team members also compete at local competitions such as the Dark Horse series. In addition to training and competing, the team prioritizes giving back to the community and protecting New England’s natural resources by completing a service project once a year.
